HOW ARE YOU RESPONDING TO CHRIST'S RESURRECTION?

TAKE A LOOK

John 20:14-18 - (NLT)

¹⁴She glanced over her shoulder and saw someone standing behind her. It was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him. ¹⁵"Why are you crying?" Jesus asked her. "Who are you looking for?"She thought he was the gardener. "Sir," she said, "if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him." ¹⁶"Mary!" Jesus said.She turned toward him and exclaimed, "Teacher!" ¹⁷"Don't cling to me," Jesus said, "for I haven't yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, my God and your God." ¹⁸Mary Magdalene found the disciples and told them, "I have seen the Lord!" Then she gave them his message.

1 Peter 3:14-15 - (NLT)

¹⁴But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don't be afraid and don't worry. ¹⁵Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.

WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF YOU HAD BEEN MARY MAGDALENE?

Imagine the incredible emotion Mary must have felt! She went from weeping because her Master had died - to joy because Jesus was alive! Mary was understanding that Jesus was exactly who He claimed to be - the Messiah! She trusted Him as Lord. Jesus told her to go tell the others the good news and she responded in joyful obedience.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT THE HOPE THAT IS FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST?

Immediately following His resurrection, Jesus told His followers to tell others the great news!

Hang on to Jesus. Your life depends on it. But don't keep Him to yourself.

TALK ABOUT IT

Thank God for the fact the His Easter Story continues. Ask His Spirit to help you share the joy you have in knowing Christ as your Savior. Ask Jesus to help you recognize the opportunities He will give you to tell others Your Story and His Story because you have listened to Their Story.

TRY IT

Pray every day for the joy you have in Christ to be evident to others.
Pray for God's Spirit to give you the opportunity to tell one person about Jesus.
Memorize 1 Peter 3:14-15.
