14She glanced over her shoulder and saw someone standing behind her. It was Jesus, but she didn't recognize him. 15"Why are you crying?" Jesus asked her. "Who are you looking for?"She thought he was the gardener. "Sir," she said, "if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him." 16"Mary!" Jesus said. She turned toward him and exclaimed, "Teacher!" 17"Don't cling to me," Jesus said, "for I haven't yet ascended to the Father. 14But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don't be afraid and don't worry. 15Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF YOU HAD BEEN MARY MAGDALENE?
Imagine the incredible emotion Mary must have felt! She went from weeping because her Master had died - to joy because Jesus was alive! Mary was understanding that Jesus was exactly who He claimed to be - the Messiah! She trusted Him as Lord. Jesus told her to go tell the others the good news and she responded in joyful obedience.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT THE HOPE THAT IS FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST?
Immediately following His resurrection, Jesus told His followers to tell others the great news!
Hang on to Jesus. Your life depends on it. But don't keep Him to yourself.
